Connie Muren - interested in more

I’m reading about Connie Muren, or what’s available about her on the CMD page. I wonder what activism she was involved with, and what conference she was travelling to in Berlin when she disappeared… What else was going on in March 2040? Interesting stuff.

Amankwah-Crouse was hired by Zhupao to create the DNCs in use by G6, but left the project in 2040.

Two smart people with a likely distaste for Zhupao stepping away from their lives for rumored activism in 2040…wouldn’t be surprised if they had something to do with Zhupaos modern enemies, like Adira (which started its work in 2041.)

There’s also this citation in both the Xu Shaoyong and CMD articles:

Muren, C; Hagen, S; Gao, K et al. (November 2033). “Electrode implant-based ultra-sensitive array for PrP detection in brain tissue.” Nature Nanotechnology.

If those two first names are indeed Connie Muren and Spencer Hagen, that means they both worked on technology that enabled neural colloids to be administered on a broader scale only because of the outbreak of CMD.

And now Spencer is CTO of Zhupao while Connie hasn’t been seen for almost a decade? Maybe he wanted all the credit for himself…

Based on that reference, it seems reasonable to assume that Muren and Hagen were on that team. It most certainly helps in that regard that Muren is described as a British-born German scientist, Hagen as a German-American engineer, and the research took place at the University of Düsseldorf.

So, if it really was them, that means that Zhupao acquired a neural colloids company founded by one of the main persons in the team that designed the colloid diagnostics solution for the exact (and very rare) kind of disease that CMD is, before it was even spotted. And regarding Muren, let’s not forget that she disappeared just before the whole G6 thing got going.
